Behavioral Health Clinics (BHCs)
Through the Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC) program, an innovative model developed by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), people in Illinois can access quality, IDD-informed mental and behavioral health care through a growing network of established community agencies with deep experience in IDD service delivery.
Many IDD Providers are adding BHCs to their service line to add support to the people they serve and to the broader community. These services do not require waiver funding.
