The Institute on Government and Public Affairs at the
University of Illinois, Champaign, has published its first
volume of essays devoted to important government and policy
issues affecting Illinois.
Chapter 1, authored by Cedric Herring, covers the "Critical
Issues facing Illinois".
Chapter 2, by J. Fred Giertz, talks about the "Illinois State
Budget and Pensions".
Chapter 3, by Robert Rich and Christopher Erg, highlight
"Critical Health Policy Issues".
Chapter 4, covers "Long-term Care Reform in Illinois", by
Naoko Muramatsu.
Chapter 5 of their 2006 report is titled
"Public Financing of Mental Health and Developmental Disability
Services". The author, Lorens Helmchen, provides a summary
of recommendations for Illinois' funding of DD/MH services.
Chapter 6 is on "Children's Health Care in Illinois: Where
we are and where we are going", by Robert Rich and Cinthia
Elkins.
